This week in GTM: a startup raised $25M to run your whole sales motion off one “brain,” another raised $100M promising a robot that never lies to your customers, and at a windy course outside Edinburgh a guy nobody’s talked about all year shot the round of the day. Grab a coffee.
THE DRIVE: Alta Raised $25M to Replace Your Entire Sales Stack
Alta pulled in $25M Series A (led by IN Venture) to run go-to-market off one “Company Brain” — prospecting, research, outbound, inbound qualification, and AI calling, all coordinated agents feeding off the same shared intelligence. Their pitch: they’re “doing for go-to-market what AWS did for infrastructure.” They’re on track for 800% revenue growth this year with Snowflake, Deel, and Atlassian already on the platform. The old model was a dozen tools that never talked to each other. Alta wants to be the one bag you carry the whole round.
“AI point solutions can even exacerbate problems by scaling broken playbooks.” — Alta
THE FAIRWAY: Cantlay Woke Up at the Scottish Open
Patrick Cantlay opened the Genesis Scottish Open with a 5-under 65 at the Renaissance Club, tied for the early lead alongside Tom Kim and Bernd Wiesberger — five birdies in ten holes, then a run of gutsy par saves coming home. For a guy who’s been a ghost most of 2026, it was the kind of Thursday that reminds everyone he can still go low when the wind’s up. Brooks Koepka sat one back at 66. The Open at Royal Birkdale is next week, and Cantlay just served notice he’s not planning to be a footnote.
THE GREEN: The $750M Bet on an AI That Won’t Lie
This Week’s Hole-in-One Award goes to Scaled Cognition, which raised $100M from Khosla Ventures at a $750M valuation to build enterprise AI that, in Vinod Khosla’s words, “will not give you a wrong answer.” Their model APT runs inside Fortune 500 banks, insurers, and telecoms, and partner Genesys expects it to handle over a billion customer interactions in the next year. Everyone else is racing to build a bigger model. Scaled Cognition is chasing the boring, expensive thing enterprises actually pay for: a machine that keeps its mouth shut when it doesn’t know.
FROM THE CLUBHOUSE: Reps Before You Play for Money
Bespoke Labs banked $40M (Wing VC and 8VC) to build the thing most AI-agent hype skips: a place to practice. They make simulated enterprise environments where agents get stress-tested before they ever touch a live customer. No pro tees up at Birkdale without a hundred rounds behind them, and no agent should hit your pipeline cold either. If you’re deploying an AI SDR that’s never seen a rep before its first live call, you’re basically sending a guy who’s only ever played mini-golf to the U.S. Open. Test it on the range first. 19TH HOLE INSIGHT
LeapXpert just raised $180M (Riverwood Capital) to turn all the messages flying between your company and the outside world into “governed intelligence” — spotting buying intent, drafting the next reply, building the quote. Your best AE already does this in their head on every call. The difference is now the whole message history is the caddie, whispering the read before you’ve even pulled a club. Every conversation you’ve ever had is a scorecard. Someone finally figured out how to keep it.
