Fireworks hit a billion in ARR. Two guys shot 62 at the same major. Your pipeline still says “next step: follow up.”

🏌️ THE DRIVE: Fireworks Brought a Flamethrower to Fundraising

Fireworks AI raised a $1.505 billion Series D at a $17.5 billion valuation after crossing $1 billion in annualized revenue, five times last year’s number. That is not a funding round. That is someone driving the green while the rest of SaaS is still arguing about layup distance. The Hole-in-One Award goes to the company selling the infrastructure beneath the AI apps, because in every gold rush the cleanest GTM motion is still “own the picks, shovels, and inference bill.” Fireworks announcement

⛳ THE FAIRWAY: Birkdale Handed Out Two 62s

Lucas Herbert opened Friday in 28 and signed for 62. About 20 minutes later, Sam Burns holed a bunker shot on 18 and signed for the same number, making them the fifth and sixth men to shoot 62 in a major. Herbert leads The Open by two at eight under, which is a useful reminder that the leaderboard only cares what you shipped today, not what your forecast said Monday. The Open recap

🏴 THE GREEN: Your Buyer Might Be a Bot

Reo.Dev raised an $11.3 million Series A for a GTM platform that reads how engineering teams evaluate software across GitHub, package managers, docs, product usage, and now the AI agents inspecting products through MCP. Its Developer Knowledge Graph has crossed 100 million engineer profiles across 3,000-plus technologies, and more than 200 companies use it. Your next champion may never download the white paper. It may quietly read the docs, test the API, and tell a human which vendor made the cut. Reo.Dev announcement

🚩 THE CADDIE'S CORNER: Where Did That Go?

SportsCenter dropped a 19-second golf clip titled “Where did that go?” and it cleared 35,000 likes the same day. We will not spoil the disappearing act, but every golfer has produced this exact look at least once. Watch the clip

🍺 19TH HOLE INSIGHT

Fireworks needed $1.5 billion to scale. Herbert and Burns needed 62 swings to make history.

Your GTM team probably needs neither. It needs one clean round where every shot has a next step.
